Drops Circular needle and double pointed needles size 8 & 9 mm
Knitting Gauge: 10 sts x 14 rows on needles size 9mm in moss stitch = 10 x 10 cm.

Pattern: See M.1 to M.4. Patterns are shown from the right side.

Rib (applies only to high neck): *1K, 3P*, repeat from *-*.

Back & Front piece: Cast on 84-92-100-116-124 sts on circular needles size 8 in Eskimo. Knit one round.
Knit rib as follows:
Size S: *K3, P1, K3, P4, K3, P3, K4, P3, K4, P3, K3, P4, K3, P1* Repeat from *-* one more time.
Size M: *K3, P3, K3, P4, K3, P3, K4, P3, K4, P3, K3, P4, K3, P3* Repeat from *-* one time more.
Size L: *K3, P5, K3, P4, K3, P3, K4, P3, K4, P3, K3, P4, K3, P5* Repeat from *-* one more time.

Continue the rib like this until piece measures 8 cm. Change to circular needle size 9 and continue in M.1 as follows: *K3 (insert a marking thread in the centre of these 3 sts. = the side), P 1-3-5-9-11 sts, M.1 (= 37sts which increases to 45 sts on round ), P 1-3-5-9-11* Repeat from *-* 1 more time = 100-108-116-132-140 sts. After 1 report of M.1, continue knitting M.2 on the 45 centre sts on the front and the back piece (all other sts continue as before). Remember to check your knitting gauge! When piece measures 15 and 30 cm increase 1 st each side of the 3 knitted sts at the sides = 108-116-124-140-148 sts – purl the new sts. When piece measures 42-43-44-45-46 cm bind off for armhole each side: 5-5-7-7-7 sts (= the st with the marking thread + 2-2-3-3-3 sts on each side of it). Now finish back and front pieces seperately, knitting to and back and forth on the circular needles.

Front: = 49-53-55-63-67 sts. Bind off for armhole both sides on every other row: 2 sts 0-1-1-2-2 times and 1 st 1-1-1-3-4 times = 47-47-49-49-51 sts. When piece measures 51 cm – adapt the length so you will have a finished M.2 report – continue to knit M.3 on the centre 45 sts (all other sts continue as before in stocking sts.) At the same time, when piece measures approx 52-53-54-56-58 cm – adapt so you have done at least 2-4 rows after a “cable twist”, bind off the centre 3 sts for neck. Bind off at each neck edge on every row 1 st 11-11-12-12-12 times = 11-11-11-11-12 sts left for shoulder. Continue pattern until piece measures 61-63-65-67-69 cm. Now decrease 1 st on the 3 knitted sts on each shoulder = 10-10-10-10-11 sts. Bind off the remaining sts. The piece now measures approx 62-64-66-68-70 cm.

Back: = 49-53-55-63-67 sts. Bind off for armhole as on the front. Continue as on the front. When piece measures 51 cm –adapt so it will be the same length as the front – continue to knit M.3 on the centre 45 sts (all other sts continue as before in stocking sts.) When piece measures 59-61-63-65-67 cm - adapt so you have done at least 2-4 rows after a “cable twist” decrease 6 sts evenly over the center 15 sts (this is done to avoid the neck line expanding). On next row bind off the centre 17-17-19-19-19 sts for the neck. On the next row bind off at each neck edge 1 st. At the same time when the piece measures 61-63-65-67-69 cm decrease 1 st on the 3 knitted sts on each shoulder = 10-10-10-10-11 sts. Bind off the remaining sts. The piece now measures approx. 62-64-66-68-70 cm

Right sleeve: Cast on 28-28-28-30-30 sts on double pointed needles size 8 in Eskimo. Knit 1 round.
Knit rib as follows:
Size S + M + L: K3 (insert a marking thread in the centre of these 3 sts = centre of the sleeve) * P4, K3*, repeat from *-*, finish with P4.
Size XL +XXL: K3 (insert a marking thread in the centre of these 3 sts. = centre of the sleeve) P5, K3,P4, K3, P5, K3, P4.
Continue in rib like this. When sleeve measures 11 cm, increase every 3rd. K repeat from 3 to 4 = 29-29-29-31-31 sts. Change to double pointed needles size 9 and continue as follows: P 9-9-9-10-10, M.4 (= 9 sts), P11-11-11-12-12. At the same time, when sleeve measures 12 cm inc on both sides of the 3 sts at the centre every 11-8-5-4.5-4 cm a total of 4-5-7-7-8 times = 37-39-43-45-47 sts purl the new sts. When sleeve measures 47-46-46-43-43 cm bind off the centre 5-5-7-7-7 sts for armhole. Continue working to and fro on two needles. Bind off for the sleeve cap at each side, every other row 2sts, 1 time and 1 st 1-3-3-4-4 times. Continue to bind off 2 sts at each side until sleeve measures 54-55-55-56-56 cm. Bind off 3 sts at each side and bind off the remaning sts on next row. Sleeve measures approx 55-56-56-57-57 cm.

Left sleeve: Knit as right sleeve but reversed so that the placement of the cable pattern will be correct when sleeve is sewn into body.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams.

High Neck: Pick up 56 – 64 sts(must be divisible by 4) around the neck on double pointed needles size 8 in Eskimo.
P 1 round, K 1 round. Continue in Rib –see explanation above NB: make sure to have 3 purl sts in the centre of the front. At the same time on the first round knit a “bubble” in the centre of each 3 purl sts. (How to knit a “bubble” is explained in the pattern diagrams). When neck measures 8 cm bind off the centre front st. Continue to work to and fro on 2 needles. Knit P over P and K over K except for the first and last st on each side which are knitted in garter sts. When neck measures 12-12-12-14-14 cm bind off loosely.

Jacket
Size: XS - S – M – L – XL - XXL

Materials: DROPS Paris from Garnstudio
650-700-800-850-950-1050 g colour no. 44, brown
JACKET

Knitting tension: 16 sts x 20 rows on needle size 5.5 mm in stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm

Garter stitch: Knit all rows

Pattern: See diagram M.1 and M.2. The diagram shows the pattern from the right side.
Knit pattern as follows: *M.1 in 4-4-4.5-4.5-4.5-5 cm, M.2, M.1 in 4-4-4.5-4.5-4.5-5 cm, M.2, M.1 in 9-10-10-11-12-12 cm, M.2*, repeat from *-* a total of 2 times. Now knit M.1 in 4-4-4.5-4.5-4.5-5 cm, M.2, M.1 in 4-4-4.5-4.5-4.5-5 cm and finish with M.2.

Front band: knit in garter sts until finished measurements. Knit the 3 outermost sts in double thread throughout.

Increasing tips (applies to collar): inc 1 st within the outermost st towards mid front by making a yo. On next row knit yo into back of st to avoid making a hole.

Decreasing tips (applies to neckline): Decrease within all garter sts from the right side. Dec as follows before garter sts: K2 tog. Dec as follows after garter sts: slip 1 st as if to knit, K1, psso.

Measuring tips: All measurements should be made while the garment is hanging.

Back piece: Cast on 67-75-83-91-99-107 sts (inclusive of 1edge st each side) using 2 needles size 5.5 with Paris (to make sure the edge becomes elastic). Remove 1 needle and knit 4 rows garter st (1st row = right side). Knit next row as follows from the right side: 1 edge st, M.1A (= 5 sts), M.1B over the next 56-64-72-80-88-96 sts, M.1C (= 4 sts), 1 edge st. Continue in pattern – see explanation above.
When piece measures 51-52-53-54-55-57 cm – see measuring tips - dec for armhole each side on every other row as follows: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 0-1-2-4-5-6 times and 1 st 2-3-4-4-5-6 times = 57-59-61-61-63-65 sts. Note! Knit sts not fitting into pattern after decreases in stocking sts. Make sure to keep to the correct number of sts by making as many yo’s as sts knitted tog. When there are 2 rows of garter sts left in pattern (piece measures approx 69-71-73-75-77-80 cm) cast off the middle 19-21-21-21-23-23 sts for neck = 19-19-20-20-20-21 sts left on each shoulder. Cast off after the last row in pattern, piece measures approx 70-72-74-76-78-81 cm.

Left Front: Cast on 46-46-54-54-62-62 sts (inclusive of 1seam st at side and 12 edge sts towards mid front) using 2 needles size 5.5 with Paris. Remove 1 needle and knit 4 rows garter st (1st row = right side), but knit the 3 outermost sts towards mid front with double thread (use a separate ball and let the thread follow the piece as you progress). Now knit 2 rows stocking sts. NB! Remember 12 sts towards mid front in garter sts throughout. Knit next row as follows from the right side: 1 seam st, M.1A (= 5 sts), M1.B over 24-24-32-32-40-40 sts, M.1C (= 4 sts), and 12 front band sts.
Read all of the following section before continuing:
Collar: When piece measures 50-51-52-53-54-55 cm inc 1 st towards mid front on every 4th row – see Increasing tips – a total of 8 times. Knit inc sts in garter sts with double thread = 11 sts in double thread after all inc have been made. After the last inc (piece measures approx 64-65-66-67-68-69 cm), cast off the 10 outermost sts towards mid front on next row, on the following row cast on 10 new sts over the cast off sts (lapel). Continue in garter sts as before.

Neckline: At the same time when piece measures 52-53-54-55-56-57 cm dec 1 st for neck on every other row – see Decreasing tips – a total of 5-2-5-2-6-2 times and then on every 4th row a total of 5-5-6-5-6-6 times. Knit sts not fitting into pattern in stocking sts.
Armhole: At the same time when piece measures 51-52-53-54-55-56 cm dec for armhole as described for back piece. After all increases and decreases have been made there are 39-39-40-40-40-41 sts on needle (i.e. 19-19-20-20-20-21 sts on shoulder and 20 sts for collar). Continue in pattern and collar sts as before. After the last row in pattern cast of the outermost 19-19-20-20-20-21 sts for shoulder = 20 sts left.
Collar: Continue over the 20 collar sts with the 11 outermost sts in double thread. Knit as follows: *4 rows garter sts over all sts, 2 rows garter sts over only the outermost 11 sts*, repeat from *-* until collar measures 6-6.5-6.5-6.5-7-7 cm (it will measure approx 12-13-13-13-14-14 cm on the outer side). Put sts on a thread.

Right front piece: As left front piece, but mirrored.

Sleeve: Cast on 44-44-46-46-48-48 sts (inclusive of 1 seam st each side) on needle size 5. Knit garter sts and dec 4 sts evenly on the 3rd row = 40-40-42-42-44-44 sts. When piece measures 10 cm change to needle size 5.5 and continue in M.3 until finished measurements. At the same time after the last row in garter sts, inc 1 st each side on every 5-3.5-3-2.5-2.5-2 cm a total of 8-10-11-13-13-15 times = 56-60-64-68-70-74 sts. When piece measures 47-45-44-43-42-41 cm cast off for sleeve cap each side on every other row as follows: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 3 times, 1 st 0-1-2-4-6-7 times, and then 2 sts each side until piece measures 53-53-53-54-55-55 cm, now dec 3 sts each side and cast off remaining sts on next row, piece measures approx 54-54-54-55-56-56 cm.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Sew sts from threads on collar together and sew collar to back piece with the seam on the right side. Set in sleeves and sew sleeve and side seams within 1 seam st.
Close the jacket with a broche.

Jacket:
The back, front and sleeves are knitted in one piece, back and forth on circular needle.

Cast on 147-176-205 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) using both ends of the circular needle size 6 mm (to ensure the edge becomes elastic) with Vivaldi.
Remove 1 needle and work 2 rows in garter st.
Now knit diagram M.1 with 1 edge st each side.
After 1 repeat of M.1 there are 87-104-121 sts on needle and piece measures approx 20 cm.

Continue in M.2 as before but with 6-3-3 sts each side in garter st.
When piece measures 37-40-43 cm, insert a marker and measure piece from here from now on.
When piece measures 13-15-17 cm – make sure next row is 1st row of M.2 – loosely cast off the outermost 56-53-53 sts each side (Note! It is very important that you cast off very loosely as otherwise the sleeve seam will be too tight) = 87-104-121 sts left on needle.
Continue in M.2 with 1 edge st each side until piece measures 17-20-23 cm from marker.
Now knit diagram M.3 with 1 edge st each side. After M.3 there are 147-176-205 sts on needle and the piece measures 37-40-43 cm from the marker (i.e. same as the other side of marker). Work 2 rows in garter st.
Cast off very loosely, making a yo approx every 6th st to ensure the edge doesn’t become too tight (knit and cast off yo’s as sts).

Assembly: Fold the piece double, wrong side against wrong side, and sew sleeve and side seams within 1 edge st.
The opening of the jacket will now be at the cast-on/cast-off edge.

Crochet border: Crochet a border round the opening and along each sleeve edge using crochet hook size 3mm and Cotton Viscose as follows:
1 dc in first knitted st, *4 ch, skip approx 1-1.5 cm, 1 dc in next knitted st*, repeat from *-* and finish with 4 ch and a sl st in first dc from beginning of round.

DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES AND CIRCULAR NEEDLE (40 + 60 or 80 cm) SIZE 7 MM – or the size needed to get 14 stitches and 17 rows stocking stitch with 2 strands on 10 cm in width and 10 cm in height.
INFORMATION FOR THE PATTERN:

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1, A.2 and A.3. The diagrams show all the rows in the pattern seen from the right side. See diagram for your size when working according to A.2.

INCREASE TIP (for mid under the sleeve):
Start 1 stitch before the marker thread, make 1 yarn over, knit 2 (the marker thread sits in the middle of these 2 stitches), make 1 yarn over (= 2 stitches increased). On the next row, knit the yarn overs twisted to prevent holes.
----------------------------------------------------------

JUMPER:
The jumper is worked in the round with circular needle, up to the armholes, then the front and back pieces are worked back and forth with circular needle to finished length. The sleeves are worked in the round with double pointed needles/short circular needle.

BODY:
Cast on 152-160-176-184-208-216 stitches with circular needle size 7 mm and 1 strand Air and 1 strand Kid-Silk (= 2 strands). Knit 1 round. Then work rib in the round as follows:

SIZES S - XL - XXXL: Purl 1, * knit 2/ purl 2 *, repeat from *-* until there are 3 stitches left, finish with knit 2 and purl 1.
SIZES M - L - XXL: Knit 1, * purl 2/ knit 2 *, repeat from *-* until there are 3 stitches left, finish with purl 2 and knit 1.

When the rib measures 8 cm continue working as follows: * Knit 11-13-17-15-21-23 stitches, A.1 (= 14 stitches), A.2 (= 26-26-26-34-34-34 stitches), A.3 (= 14 stitches), knit 11-13-17-15-21-23 stitches *, work from *-* a total of 2 times. Continue this pattern upwards. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When the piece measures 46-47-48-49-50-51 cm work as follows (adjust so that this is a row with pattern in A.2): Cast off the first 2 stitches, work the next 72-76-84-88-100-104 stitches as before, cast off the next 4 stitches, work the next 72-76-84-88-100-104 stitches as before and cast off the last 2 stitches. Continue working the front and back pieces separately to finished length.

BACK PIECE:
= 72-76-84-88-100-104 stitches. Start from the wrong side and continue pattern back and forth. When the piece measures 62-64-66-68-70-72 cm cast off the middle 26-26-26-30-30-30 stitches for the neck and each shoulder is finished separately. Decrease 1 stitch on the next row from the neck = 22-24-28-28-34-36 stitches left on the shoulder. Continue working until there is 1 row left before the piece measures 64-66-68-70-72-74 cm. Decrease 5 stitches over A.1/A.3 = 17-19-23-23-29-31 stitches on the shoulder. Cast off. Work the other shoulder in the same way.

FRONT PIECE:
= 72-76-84-88-100-104 stitches. Continue back and forth in the same way as for the back piece until the piece measures 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm (you can if necessary work stocking stitch over the middle 18-18-18-26-26-26 stitches in the last repeat of A.2 to prevent the neck-decreases disrupting the pattern. See photo). Now place the middle 20-20-20-24-24-24 stitches on 1 thread for the neck and each shoulder is finished separately. Continue by casting off for the neck at the beginning of each row from the neck as follows: 2 stitches 1 time and 1 stitch 2 times = 22-24-28-28-34-36 stitches left on the shoulder. Continue working until there is 1 row left before the piece measures 64-66-68-70-72-74 cm. Decrease 5 stitches over A.1/A.3 = 17-19-23-23-29-31 stitches on the shoulder. Cast off. Work the other shoulder in the same way.

SLEEVE:
The sleeve is worked in the round with double pointed needles, change to circular needle when you have increased enough stitches. Cast on 32-32-36-36-40-40 stitches with double pointed needles size 7 mm and 1 strand Air and 1 strand Kid-Silk (= 2 strands). Knit 1 round. Then work rib in the round as follows:
SIZES S - M - XXL - XXXL: Knit 1, * purl 2/ knit 2 *, repeat from *-* until there are 3 stitches left, finish with purl 2 and knit 1.
SIZES L - XL: Purl 1, * knit 2/ purl 2*, repeat from *-* until there are 3 stitches left, finish with knit 2 and purl 1.
Work rib until the piece measures 6 cm. Insert 1 marker thread at the beginning of the round (= mid under the sleeve). The next round is worked as follows: 9-9-11-11-13-13 stitches stocking stitch, A.1 (= 14 stitches), 9-9-11-11-13-13 stitches stocking stitch. Continue the pattern in this way. When the piece measures 8-7-8-8-8-7 cm increase 2 stitches mid under the sleeve – READ INCREASE TIP. Increase in this way every 3½-3½-3-2½-2½-2½ cm a total of 12-13-13-14-13-15 times = 56-58-62-64-66-70 stitches. Continue working until there is 1 row left before the piece measures 51-51-49-48-45-45 cm. Decrease 5 stitches over A.1 = 51-53-57-59-61-65 stitches. Cast off. Work one more sleeve in the same way, but now work A.3 instead of A.1.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew the shoulder seams Sew in the sleeves.

NECKLINE:
Knit up from the right side approx. 78-100 stitches around the neck (including the stitches on the thread at the front) with one strand of each quality (= 2 strands) and short circular needle size 7 mm. The number of stitches must be divisible by 4. Purl 1 round and knit 1 round, then work rib (= knit 2/ purl 2) for 14 cm. Then cast off LOOSELY with knit over knit and purl over purl.

Continue the pattern as before. When piece measures 66-68-70-72-74-76 cm, cast off the middle 24-26-28-30-32-34 sts for neck and finish each shoulder separately. On next row cast off 1 st towards the neck = 20 sts remain on each shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 68-70-72-74-76-78 cm.

FRONT PIECE:
= 66-72-76-86-96-106 sts. Continue pattern as before and cast off for armholes as on back piece = 66-68-70-72-74-76 sts. Continue the pattern like this. When piece measures 60-62-64-66-68-70 cm, slip the middle 18-20-22-24-26-28 sts on a stitch holder for neck and finish each shoulder separately.
